Our Heidelberg press is a digital sheet fed offset press made by the world's leading press manufacturer. It is a digital press in that the plates can be imaged and processed directly on the press in under 10 minutes.
The press utilizes a waterless approach to offset printing which gives you bright clean color along with being environmentally friendly due to a lack of chemicals.
The press utilizes a single gripper which eliminates the need for trapping of files as done with conventional offset printing. There is no need for trapping as the sheet is being fed through the press with the same gripper and the plates, being imaged on the press, never move.
The paper stock on the press ranges from onion skin to 12 point board, with a maximum sheet size of 13 x 18.125".
The press has a dryer unit attached so once one side of the sheet is printed, it is possible to turn the sheet over and run it back through the press to print the other side immediately.
